DUAL SPECTRUM: EKAH & Yeong Choi
"Dual Spectrum" is a two-person art exhibition that juxtaposes the diverse artistic approaches and cultural backgrounds of artists, EKAH & Yeong Choi.  Both artists have been selected as 40 North’s Boneyard Signature Artists in 2023 and 2024 respectively.
EKAH, a South Korean-born visual artist raised in New York City, explores the intersection of traditional and modern media.  Her work is a visual storytelling journey through surreal, dystopian, and beautiful worlds spanning across media—from drawing and animation to hybrid reality and interactive art.  EKAH’s art reflects a multicultural upbringing and a boundless curiosity that drives her to experiment with a wide range of media and styles.
In contrast, Yeong Choi, an experienced painter with exhibitions across South Korea, Israel, and North America, delves into the essence of life through her "Rhythm of Soul" series, born from spontaneous doodling, transforms discarded and unintentional shapes into new forms of beauty, offering a metaphor for the unexpected wonders found in life’s overlooked moments. Inspired by the innocence of children at play, the artist's work celebrates the unexpected and unplanned aspects of life.
Together, these artists present a rich spectrum of perspectives, blending the old and new, the intentional and the accidental, to create a dynamic and thought-provoking exhibit.
